The struggle is real!
Taste of Philly
I was told to take a picture of my damaged goods that were lost in Hurricane Helene in order to file my insurance claim. I was denied. SMH. 9/27/24 was the date. I ended up losing more that equipment, I lost opportunity but, I'm still here to recoup everthing that was confiscated by forces beyond my control.
This used to be a well maintained storage unit before Helene arrived. By the way...Uhaul sent me an email stating that it was nice doing business with me, and that was that. Oh, you were expecting more? Well, so was I. So was I.Â
This was one of my biggest selling days to date. I served close to 500 people on this day. I got too busy to take pictures of the crowd but will post if my partners have pics. Philly was lit!

The calm befor the storm...cause it got busy and so did we. We had a 10 x 10 space we and rocked it out.Â
Ebony Horsemen was my first major event. It was definately a learning curve.Â
Sporting my new cowboy hat that I bought at the Ebony Horsemen event. I had to play the part. I was even feeling like I could even maybe ride a horse.Â
I met these guys at the event. They are a horse back riding group. They ain't no joke either. They really built like that. If you ever get a chance to check out a black rodeo, or commonly known as a trail ride, I highly suggest that you do.

I finally caught a break!
It was a hot and busy day. Finally, there was a break in the activity so I took the opportunity to smell the roses and soak it all in.
My main man A-B and I had an idea and went for it. We rose to that challenge and have been going strong ever since. We were working with the bare minimum but we had a successful day and this inspired me to keep going.Â
Next was GRINDFEST and that was an even greater event. I saw us grow right before my very eyes.Â
We met other vendors and they were very helpful with alerting us to upcoming events. We applied and we were essentiialyl booked for the rest of the year.
We expanded our reach from private events to local breweries.Â
In 2026, we are planning to acquire a food trailer and expand our territory even more.

This is me paying my dues; for real!
It gets real out here.
It ain't always pretty out here. On this night, I was set up at a local brewery and it was freezing cold.Â
I made about 20 bucks and you can hear the music in the background that I had to endure all night.Â
I did take advantage of this night though. This is the night that I started experimenting with "shrimp puppies." They have become one of our customer favorites.Â
So, sometimes when it feels that you have lost, you may have just reserved the time to create something great!

This is what our trailer will look like from the back. It's a 6 x 12 foot trailer. It's going to be tight but all great things start small. Our trailer will be black with our logo on it. I'll cosider wrapping it later.
This is the hood, this is essential when you're cooking fried foods. This one will be a four footer and I can get up to 3 fryers under it but I only need two for my operation. For now anyways...
